Understanding stupidity.
I get very disappointed when others let me down by taking comfort in ignorance. I put high expectations in those I feel have earned my recognition for their apparent intelligence, but sometimes intelligence is a poor substitute for common sense. We all have the ability to see past our own confirmation bias, but some just deny themselves the opportunity to see the complete depths or the entire picture of the truths. They only want to acknowledge enough of the truth that allows them the comfort they require for a lazy, half hearted option. Some even give themselves a false sense of faith in religious ideals that prevents themselves from ever seeing past the beliefs they gave into that prevent them from ever seeing beyond the boarders to the religion they subscribe. But there is no excuse for ignorance, those that are not willing to see past the obvious ignorance they give themselves barrier to should not be people we entrust to help bring solutions to the problems we endure do to ignorance. That's redundant. People that pride their opinion as some sort of pinnacle of enlightenment better be someone that doesn't allow that opinion to get snagged on ignorance. When someone starts pretentiously pontificating their obsolete ideals deluded in ignorance on me, that's when I forfeit my reservations of solidarity with that person, at least until they make a honest attempt to see past that ignorance that they have allowed to devalue their opinion in my eyes. I'm not affording myself judgment of these peoples conduct of character, but the obnoxiousness of ignorance is rather obvious when someones is trying to burp it all over ideals you have let the entire world influence. And I will not commend these people for their lack of virtue. Besides, when we let go of that ignorance some of us stubbornly hold on to, we gain more then we had when we find the courage to look past that ignorance.

Fascist pigs
The ethically, morally and spiritually bankrupt gather around one another with their hats cocked, plotting on how to exploit the oppressed and the vulnerable in order to gain capital that they believe will fill the void they created for themselves by abandoning everything that might have help them to be constructive members to society. These men belong to organizations whose main intent is greed and over-indulgent, self-glorification. They try and promote this image of victims of society, boosting their ability to withhold vital information from the authorities because their superficial existence depends on their reclusive nature. Which they hypocritically contradict by brandishing their lifestyles for all to bare witness for with their blatant attire and their obnoxious disregard of any and all aspects of culture and heritage that holds value beyond their shallow comprehension, they completely ignore all virtues that might interfere with their capitalist aspirations to control the impoverished community they have targeted to victimize to their disposal. These men glorify a code of silence which they constantly violate in order to sustain their selfish endeavors. They belittle the integrity and dignity of all that don't subscribe to their ignorant ideals with their invalid perspectives in order to make way for their greedy, villainous self serving agendas towards anything good that might be unfortunate enough to be in the way of these selfish mens goals to become rich off the downtrodden they see weak enough for them to assert themselves over. These men disgust me, and I've done my own ground work to try and understand their mentality, and the only thing I have concluded is that these men are just as greedy, oppressive, corrupt as any other fascist pig anywhere else on the planet. And that goes for anyone else that utilizes inconsiderate, insensitive, ignorant aspects of their inadequate capitalist mindset to exploit the disparities of others for their benefit towards self gratification and self promoting. Anyone with a shred of common sense knows better then to buy into these obtuse individuals bullshit, to bad common sense is a very scarce commodity most have compromised away for their own superficial flaws. Instead of their 'stop snitchin' campaign, we should start a 'stop fascism' campaign to counter the ignorance they encourage to stifle justice and prosperity.

Whats really contributing to the quality of life here in Bemidji?
Quality of life has been poor for many in this city for a long time regardless of bar closing. If the city didn’t rely so much on liquor taxes and criminal fines to fund insensitive systematic institutionalized racism and focus more on the disparities that encourage such superficial predicaments, we’d have a lot less of the scenario of internalized oppression that encourages criminal activity, or the false sense of racial superiority complexes contributing to racial tensions here in a community where poverty and oppression are treated with such racist disregard. Discrimination and racism would be less of a predominant factor in the society of Bemidji if accountability was valued more than the ignorant blame that divides this city where racism has been discretely conditioned into the mentality of its citizens. If people put more effort into educating themselves rather than trying to find comfort in ignorance I believe we’d have a balanced society here. Most that acknowledge, partake, and encourage racism here more than likely inherited wealth and opportunity off the exploitation of stolen lands and resources, or the mistreatment of Native people. They should then also inherit the accountability of the injustices we endured and are still enduring to this day by the racism most entrust their livelihoods to. We’re all at fault here, even the oppressed that allow stereotypical behavior to devalue their own quality of lives need to put their energies into preventing this racism from overwhelming their livelihoods. This shouldn’t be a matter of entitlement where the discriminated and oppressed feel obligated to the emasculating entitlement programs or for the over privileged who feel as if their more of a priority in the workforce. People that are racially denied opportunities are prone to poverty, despair and hopelessness. We should all concern ourselves of the suicide rate plaguing our county rather than pushing it into obscurity for such an over exaggerated situation. How much more of the Native youth must we sacrifice for the comfort of the over privileged few that give themselves say on public matters? This leaves those of us that are acute to these predicaments to formulate a conclusion that the county/ city officials and figureheads of the area see more revenue generated through disparities rather than solutions. I’m getting rather tired of using the word racism as well, but I’m getting more tired of seeing it protected and denied when it’s so obvious.

Even for YOU!
For those too overwhelmed by grief, sorrow and dispair to stand for themselves. For those too buredened by shame, guilt and resentment that can't afford solidarity for their fellowman. For those too disconnected by their arrogance, self gratification and narcissism we struggle forward despite their pompus shiftless attitudes devaluing our struggles. For those accustomed and too weakened to withstand the relentless oppression robbing their quality of life. For those that cannot take accountability for their humility, treachery, and envy. For those too unstable, neglected and ignored. For those cowards that take comfort in the oppression forced upon them that can't afford the courage to support us warriors fighting to free them from the bondages of injustice. For those too divided and conquered. For those too greedy and colonized. For those too self asorbed and assimilated. For those too uneducated and ignorant. For those too immature and full of deceit. For all my people I fight for, I love you all, because I to have been these things I spoke of at one time, I to have been awakened by truth and the strenghth of my fellowman, I too have realized the value of the strength bestowed upon those of us fortunate enough to be one of the people. There is strength in our teachings and way of life, it is our responsibilty to rekindle that fire in our hearts and share our strength with the world. That is our responsibility as Anishinaabeg. We must prove the worth of our humanity to the world to regain the respect of our equals, we must allow ourselves the chance to share our teachings to open their eyes, but first we must re-learn how to honor our teachings, re-learn how to serve others through those teachings instead of trying to serve ourselves through them. I'v attended many ceremonies that were conducted in vain, for the spirits have little to no reason to rejoice in our people. Not many will take accountabilty for the disapprovial and disappointment we have as a tribe allowed ourselves to spiral into. We are quick to blame one another for the faults we allow to burden our reputations as Anishinaabeg. It is time we go back and fix the things we've abandoned before we can move forward into prosparity in unity. We must come together and aid one another, we must all wake up from this nightmare our ancestors fought from consuming us, at least now before it consumes our children.

Treading water in the shallow end
Most are too close minded and shallow to fathom the depths of the big picture, so I do not enjoy the company of many people these days. I take comfort in my solitude or focusing on my family rather than struggling to open the eyes of my so-called people. I refuse to take comfort in false friend or kinship's that hold no common ground for understanding. Today I have no words to share with the ignorant, the shiftless, nor the self adsorbed, overindulgent individuals that insist on being unenthusiastic, or unrealistic of ever bringing about positive change to our people. No, I'm not giving up, just disgusted at the moment. I have realized some of my people do not deserve anything better then the disparities they knowingly make themselves vulnerable to in ravaging their chances at prosperity. So I look to their children and mine to give me back hope to find the strength to struggle forward. So perhaps one day they'll have the integrity and ethics to rise above the internalized oppression their parents somehow find comfort in, and that goes for the slobs to the pretentious, pompous, know-it-alls.
One day I will regain my composure, I will reassert myself into the struggles that are constantly mishandled by the inept warriors that think their self centered faulty courage somehow compensates for their inequities in battling the various injustices consuming our communities. Disappointment can be very overwhelming if you put too much trust in people you think won't let you down. So one day I hope to have the ability to look beyond those in the way of our children happiness and prosperity, for most care not to bestow their children a chance of a better tomorrow. Someone must take back our future from those that are throwing it away; someone must hold those accountable for misleading others down the wrong paths. I'm not too impressed with but a few people’s opinions these days, because in my opinion, most people have no right to speak on matters that they care not to be realistic about let alone genuinely concerned of. It’s rather difficult to maintain faith and optimism for superficial pessimistic people that find comfort in their doubt, but I'll have to make due and work with what we got.

Yon can not justify racism.
I was rather disgusted the other night when I viewed a link to Craig’s List Bemidji Rant & Rave forum. Where the epitome of callous racism shared by the White people on the forum that was rather disturbingly reassuring, reassuring to the conclusions of the racism here, We, the Warriors for Justice, the political war party have effectively identified are valid. There is very little to deny the fact of its obvious presence here devaluing the quality of life of those that are subjected to this racism, to those that partake in the racism. The constant complaining about welfare collecting natives was rather off-putting. Racists act as if they don't encourage our unemployment rate with their discrimination in their hiring practices. It’s a fact that Affirmative Action doesn't exist here in Bemidji, 98% of these businesses are filled with white faces when probably 50% of the money these businesses generate comes from the Indian dollar.
I know well of this discrimination first hand, I have been treated rather poorly at job sites in attempts to discourage me from continuing to show up to work. The disgustingly, uncivilized racists seem to enjoy operating on this obnoxious sense of ignorant entitlement. I know all white people are not intentionally racist, yet most are very vulnerable to the inherent racism that systematic institutionalized racism has exposed them to. Most are very unaware of it because it is very integrated into life here in Bemidji, but some acknowledge it and operate within this racism to ensure that their oppressive hold on our matters doesn't weaken. They sit there and blame us for the emasculation they forced upon us, yet they will not take accountability for their attitude of white privilege.
White people are afforded opportunities that Indian people will never enjoy, because society obligates them these opportunities. So when they see an Indian that’s 'well off' despite their efforts to condemn us to poverty, it probably angers them. All of these racist white people need to educate themselves; some will remain stubbornly ignorant regardless, until they die. They expose their children and indoctrinate them into carrying on this obsolete way of thinking, which is very sad because eventually we Indians will overcome this oppression they find comfort in. Then who are they going to blame their taxes on? We pay taxes as well, every time we spend money in this racist town, some of us live here and pay taxes regardless. That still doesn't entitle me as a tax payer to try and ridicule less fortunate individuals that suffer from the rigors of internalized oppression brought on by systematic institutionalized racism.
So yeah, I get pissed too when I notice one of these racist bastards trying to put his foot on my neck, I understand he’s doing it out of habit, but that shits getting old. Oh, but now he wants to blame our discomfort he causes us, on us? That’s one of the most stupid things I ever heard of. One thing’s for sure, His kids won't be successful in trying to step on my kids necks because my kids are going to be too dignified to allow that to happen anyways, regardless of their obnoxious racism they've been taught by their ignorant redneck parents. Stand up already! when are the rest of you going to get tired of sitting in the white mans shit and trying to throw it at each other!

Can you blame them?
I don't blame others for sometimes not feeling remorse, sympathy, or compassion for the conditions my people make themselves vulnerable to. Whether or not if people benefit from or justify their racism by our internalized oppressive behavior or not. Yes, most white people encourage this behavior. But I resent the shiftless ignorance of my people as well; most of my people enable or encourage these situations upon ourselves. They go out and vote for corrupt, incompetent leadership to mislead our people, as well as they also go out and vote for the same racist white politicians that work hand in hand with these corrupt tribal leaders that allow the degradation and exploitation of our people to occur. Most of my people haven't any genuine desire or passion to correct any social declinations eroding our integrity or humanity. We allow racist ignorance of the white man to be justified by the ignorance we subject ourselves to.
There are very few of us who utilize what little opportunities we struggle to create for ourselves effectively, most only look for opportunities to take advantage of situations for selfish gain rather than instituting a routine of social change and mending the shared injuries our community sustained due to racism. I'd be pissed off as well at whiny assholes that blame me for everything then go about putting more energy in self pity rather than putting effort forth in repairing the image we created for ourselves by letting systematic institutionalized racism ravage our dignity. Why should we expect the white man to take accountability for the ignorance they somehow find comfort in when we can't even take accountability of our own internalized oppression? Acknowledging it and doing something to correct those flaws internalized oppression reduces our people to are two different things entirely. Some can acknowledge and own their internalized oppression and just obnoxiously accept it and impose that ineffective behavior on any and all unfortunate enough to be in audience of their self induced predicament. To be frankly honest, I'm probably more disgusted with most my people then any racist white man, but not out of unwarranted ignorance, but out of validity of the shame and disappointment for the reality of the stereotypical behavior most of us allow ourselves to feed into and just be ignorantly okay about it.
At least I put my energy into confronting my people on their ignorant behaviors, that’s the least I can do as an Anishinaabe. Least I'm not shiftlessly sitting around complaining, blaming my problems on everybody else trying to innovate excuses to why they can't stand up for themselves against oppression of any form. I'm utilizing my energy to try and provoke my people to get off their asses and stand up for themselves; I want to help bring out the best in my people. I’m pretty sure we aren’t going to improve our living conditions if there’s only a few of us willing to put effort forth in doing so. I'm tired of watching my people take comfort in oppression whether it be internal or external. Just as white people guard their guilt, our people guard their shame, both of them try to justify their shame and guilt through ignorance. A majority of people in general, red or white are unwilling to step up and take accountability for themselves, because its easier for them to just go around blaming each other. The white people ain't going to fix anything for us Indians, and I don't blame them because most of my people don't even want to help themselves let alone our people. Regardless, I have been lent the strength to push my people to their feet. Aho

Legacy of shame.
When I speak of the conditions of my people, I'm not trying to paint a picture of these poor victims of circumstance, no. I'm trying to pose a question to initiate the arousal of the spirit of our ancestors in hopes those spirits may provoke my people to reclaim our integrity and pride that most have abandoned due to the burden of the struggles we have endured which have become very heavy. Some of our people were strong, courageous, valiant people that overcame impossible odds, and today most of us are nothing like those people. Today we have given up too many important things that connected us to that essence our ancestors drew strength upon, we dug deep to sacrifice these virtues for shallow replacements of materialistic value. We have allowed our humanity to be devalued at the expense of our simple right to thrive in the land of our forefathers. When I speak of our ancestors, I am speaking of my pre-Columbus ancestors, not the de-evolved assimilated, alcoholic savages that murdered one another in hopes to gain the white man's approval. Those 'Indians' are still here in overwhelming numbers today, and that is nothing to be proud of for they have earned the right to let the white man treat them as animals. Despite those strong, courageous, valiant ones some of us descended from, that knew better when the white man landed here of the importance of our tribal bond and held onto that with their dying breath. There was also those treacherous, selfish, greedy Indians that ensured their self preservation at the expense of their fellowman. I'm just pointing out the facts that not all of us have a story of survival to pride in their heritage, because it's pretty obvious that a lot of our people today could care less about their fellowman's hardships. I believe these Indians have inherited their right to be insensitive, shiftless, and unenthusiastic about our survival. Those that take pleasure in the struggles of their fellowman will also reap the benefits of our conviction. I doubt they'll appreciate it, but maybe their children will and break that shameful cycle of self preservation.

Throw em to the wolves.
Well then, elections are over, Nicole received 91 votes I guess. That's a lot more then we expected, trust me, Nicole doesn't want that bullshit just yet, not this time around, not with all those republicans in there. That's way more trouble than its worth right there. I would like to point out we helped keep John Perrsell in office by noting the institutionalized racism that Lehmann has become notorious for upholding here in Bemidji as Mayor. John Persell is also apart of this racism, yeah he might be married to a Indian woman, but I doubt his Indian family addition are painting a realistic picture of the real conditions of the Ojibwe people. That was obvious when I urged Nicole to meet with him for coffee weeks before the primaries, we hoped to come to an understanding with the old out-of-touch guy. He refused to acknowledge the obvious hardships holding his fellow man hostage through systematic institutionalized racism, rather he justified his obnoxious ignorance by the obvious racist notion captivating his mind. He is truly unaware of his own vulnerability to the inherent racism he was more then likely raised with. However Persell isn't as much of a threat anymore, the republicans know he's just a spineless coward sheep of a man, their going to boss him around just like old Oberstar used to. Now being his environmentally hazardous colleagues are no longer there to co-hearse him into the ranks of their poor decision making, Johns is now left scared and alone in a house full off republicans. Now John Perrsell is just an ignored minority in the house of reps, a minority just as those he undermined and belittled by justifying his ignorance by our soci-economic plight hes been apart of ignoring since he and his cohorts have gottin him into office. We pretty much condemned him to a unproductive strenuous 2 years to be belittled, undermined, and bullied about by the republicans. We pretty much through him to the wolves. He even said He drew support from Republicans and independents as well, he said. “I’ll certainly make the effort to let people know that I’ll work with anybody who wants to work on the issues." There you go John, get to the ass kissin, yet the entire nation seems to be reluctantly adhering to what we've been saying from the get go. They've been in denial far too long, some still are, but its a little too late to realize there is no real answers being presented in the two party system currently screwing us all, but still, who did all these idiots vote for? Republicans? What the hell people? If you don't like the way your toothpaste cleans your teeth, don't start brushing your teeth with dog shit. Not even the majority of these stupid, ignorant, so-called Ojibwes we've been hollering the facts at in hopes of setting an example for the nation to admire us for taking back our country from these capitalist pigs exposing us all to their insensitive mind numbing greed. Still they refuse to acknowledge the truth we've been going out to speak of. A majority of my people(the Ojibwe) are nothing but a bunch of greedy, self serving children begging the great white father for permission to go play the the casino hotel pool. A lot of Indians refused to vote for Mark Dayton because he wants to open a state casino, and some idiot fear mongered them into believing its going to take revenue that they rarely see anyways away from their greedy, money grubbing hands, yeah right. That casino is going to be built in the Twin Cities, it will complete with the overindulgent Shakopee band, the very same band that most of the Ojibwe tribes are indebted to for building our shitty little casinos that pay our people poverty wages, all the while exposing us to lung cancer and heart disease. Indian gaming has many Indians duped into this idea of economic stability, this false sense of security is just a another way of keeping our people oppressed. Indian gaming is run by a bunch of rich white men that pump million of dollars into campaign funds of these politicians in favor of passing policy on our people in order to further exploit us into oblivion. Any Indian that thinks these greedy bastards are trying to help us become 'economically self sufficient' is just a product of internalized oppression, they distrust the white man until he comes waving money in their faces. But anyways, Nicole is running again in 2012, this time we will gain ballot status, and our campaign will be very aggressive, we will continue to strive to be a party where the Ojibwe will re-awake and take back our pride from these insensitive racists disenfranchising the Ojibwe people for far too long. As of now, I have nothing but disappoint reserved for 98% of our people, too many give in to their internalized oppression, they refuse to take accountability for themselves constantly, yeah they can go around blaming everything on a white man, but then they'll go out and vote for the sons of bitch.

Quit trying to be humble, your not that great
As guilt induced paranoia overcomes those weak minded impostors clamoring about those of us that they envy and despise for the strength they can't afford even in their powerfully jealous ways. They are forced to witness their grasp weaken on those that have become keen to their lackluster facade. Everyone has grown up around their selfish, childish ways except them, it seems as if these would be, want to be warriors worth devalues before their very eyes once they realize their importance to matters that don't need their self centered energies. Even with all their empty talk of matters that they can not find true loyalty for, because in their eyes there is nothing to gain from such selfless dedication as of yet, these opportunists prey on situations for their own good. They reserve their energies for only self-serving endeavors. I will not pity these pathetic men if they force me to to find justice for my people through their veil of cowardice and treachery, I will help these individuals be very intimate with their humility. If knocking these individuals to the ground helps them become stronger then their malevolent ways, then I will gladly extend my hand to help them stand strong, but if they become spiteful of their injury and they allow their wound to fester hate. It is then, I will have no option but to relentlessly bombard these hateful hearted individuals until they are overwhelmed and they retreat back to the tit of the whore that nourished their weak hearts.

And the genocide goes on...
Assimilation, are we really assimilated? or are we just behavior controlled? Because we in reality haven't been 'absorbed' into American society, a majority of our people live in poverty due to this fact. Every stifled opportunity we are presented we are scrutinized within monotonous racism of white supremacy. I don't believe much has changed within a majority of the attitudes of white men since their treacherously, insensitive treaties were written up in favor of diminishing the red man into our eventual extinction. Today, we are still subjugated to corporate genocide, where they think they can compensate our suffrage by throwing money at our hazardous living conditions the white man's greed exposes us to. Money that never makes it passed the hands of the so-called 'elected representatives' the white man has approved of leading the other Indians around by the noses. There are so many issues that prevent many Indian people from ever feeling as if they are having their fill of the American dream, the reality most of us are forced to endure is actually the American nightmare. Sure their are a few Indians that reap the benefit of equal consideration when it comes to social interaction, but its almost as if these Indians have secretly denounce their heritage in order to gain the approval of their intended audience of their none Indian counterparts. Some white men can claim to be color blind when it comes to dealing with others of a different ethnicity, but why must they disregard who I am? Even in my indigenous lands? Why can't they embrace my ethnicity? Why do they feel as if they are entitled to this attitude of superiority? Its almost as if out of shame they find comfort in ignoring my heritage, yet they subconsciously categorize me and others like me into this lower standard or class when interacting with us. But if I talk to them in my 'white man' voice, the look on their faces becomes apparent, and yes, I have momentarily confused them, but just long enough for a brief glimpse of equality. None the less, they realize I'm just an Indian, and I'm probably just trying to gain their approval in order to eventually steal from them or do them wrong in order to seek justice for my ancestors. White men guard their guilt and most intend to go to their graves with it, for they have inherited wealth and opportunity off the exploitation of stolen lands and resources and the mistreatment of our people, but they refuse to inherit the accountability of the injustices we endured and are still enduring to this day by their hand. They are right about one of their guilt induced ignorant fears, I am seeking justice, but not for my ancestors, but for my children. So they will not be exposed to the insensitive hardships I have endured, the only gift I hope I can bestow upon my children is equality, a chance to become apart of this society we have all come to love but constantly rejects us because we red. I already see this inhuman behavior dousing my children chances at a happy healthy life when I take them to hospitals, they are regarded in such disregard when it comes to their health it angers me beyond composure. The way I watch white people look down upon my children reassures me most white people here in Northern Minnesota do not appreciate even their presence. Harmless, innocent children, that's makes me believe the evil stories of what these white men did to our young ones when they violently entered our villages, and sometimes I catch a glimpse in their eyes of those monsters they descended from. Today they are still sacrificing our children to their unquenchable greed, and they will not reason with the cries of the suffering, for they have stuffed money in their ears, and they punish us if we refuse to do the same.
Niigaanosewenini
I become overwhelmed by disappointment at some of these people trying to market being 'Anishinaabe.' Who are they to tell anyone one how and how not their respecting our heritage when these people obviously have their views deluded by some influence corrupting the teaching they claim to uphold and hold over the heads of others? These people are pitiful hypocrites, I refuse to believe they live within total accord to the ways our ancestors once lived. I don't harbor negative feelings against them for that fact, because its impossible to live in both worlds without being conflicted, but I do become frustrated observing these people go about within our communities corrupting others to their inept views through teachings. Disconnecting whomever is vulnerable to their bias, self-serving banter to what is of true importance to us as Anishinaabeg in today's world. If anything, there is very few of us living within the respects of our ancestors' wishes, going to ceremonies and talking the language are not the only aspects of our ancestors lives that helped them pass on and gift us with their way of life. Like I said before, I believe a lot of ceremonies are done in vain because the manidoug have abandoned most that they have become disappointed in as well. There was many conflicts our ancestors endured for us to be here, some against the white man, some against ourselves, and today we are still struggling against ourselves. Although those things are very important such as the language and our ceremonies, I believe overemphasizing on these virtues throws off one's balance of being true to their claim of being Anishinaabe. Some overindulge in these aspects of our nature, some develop delusions of grander persuing fulfillment of a obvious void in their lives, allowing themselves to believe they are more blessed then their fellowman and they deserve their sense of superiority. These people develop self delusions, duping those struggling or those without direction into believing that they in some way have obtained a direct line to the all mighty. I do believe Gichi Manidou talks to us all in certain ways if we attune ourselves to our spirituality and nurture our relationship with the creator and the spirits of the creations we have been blessed with. But I become very skeptical when I witness time after time these so-called medicine people fail those that have entrusted in them. I am descended from hereditary chiefs, I have been gifted with the leadership skills my people take value in, I will assert myself as a leader amongst my people someday soon. As of now I have many charlatans to challenge, I have a lot of false prophets and false leaders to speak against, this is my duty as an Anishinaabe that which I have been born into and gifted with. This is my responsibility, our ancestors used to listen to their hearts in all matters, this is what my heart tells me. There must be another time of conflict, we need our ogichidaawag once again, we must light the 8th fire, no matter who is standing, sitting, lying in our way, no matter who is trying to pull us down, we must fight once again for our survival.

Raising the bar
We're raising the bar on all of you ineffectively doing the limbo claiming your successfully jumping hurdles. Although we should be casting aside and tearing down all these obstacles, some of our people are re-enforcing them making them rather impossible for most of our people to overcome, most inadvertently, some on purpose. That is why we must innovate solutions for the struggles that our people endure that most of these stagnant activists before us and currently in our way have compromised away too much their integrity to effectively confront our obstacles any longer. We are not trying to discourage others from standing, nor are we trying to place the over bearing burden of their own shortcomings upon their shoulders so they can not stand at all, we are trying bring out the best and empower our people. We are trying to help them march forth into prosperity. We cannot do this alone, we must do this together as a tribe, this is our new trail of tears, the trail is called internalized oppression. How much more of our youth must we lose to suicide and violence? How many more of our mothers and fathers must we lose to alcoholism and drug abuse? How many more of our elders must we lose to diabetes and cancer? That is why I refuse to go forth any more until all my people have caught up with us, although I know there will be those I consider my people that will refuse to stand and march forth, they will stubbornly sit. Some even trying to pull others down beside them, attempting the congest and discourage others marching forth into hopes of prosperity, but we must drag them along with us. We must trample those trying to march against us, and I don't mean physically, we must drag their lives into better standards of living for our people, we must trample the egoistical, the arrogant, the pretentious trying to pontificate their skepticism of my strength and ability to provide my children with a future of equality. That equality will give us back our ability to protect our mother earth as she has protected us, it will allow our brothers to respect us as equals and let us teach them how to care for our mother, we will not have the respect of a teacher to share our wisdom until we are seen as equal, we must gain unity as a people to reach equality in order to light the 8th fire to have prosperity for all of Kichi Manidou's children.

"Greed through the eyes of an Irishman"
I was very disgusted and angered today when I logged onto my facebook, I seen one of my friends sharing a link to a blog site called 'Indian country, Though the eyes of irishman' by a Mr. Mike Meuers. This man (Michael Meuers)might of finagled his way into the circles of those he's used to boast his deceitful career of exploiting the Ojibwe culture, but this contumelious, sacrilegious man is no friend to the Anishinaabeg. He blatantly undermines and belittles the real issues of my people's struggles we endure just so he can falsely romanticize any significance to his benefit. He constantly pontificates his views down upon the indian people in his pretentious manner. He is nothing more then a front-man for the DFL and their greedy intentions of exploiting the enterprise of Indian gaming. John 'Custer' McCarthey is unable to get his greedy hands on the Red Lake Casino business, being they are not a member of the Minnesota Chippewa Tribe, so hes implicated Mr. Meuers as his go to guy to manipulate the Red Lake peoples interest, which he is rather good at. Mr. Meuers has also duped some Ojibwe people into believing that his Ojibwe language signage he's taken up to put Ojibwe words in racist Bemidji businesses is solely meant to benefit racial harmony. All he is doing in reality is luring Ojibwe money back to business where they might of deterred Ojibwe patrons through obnoxious racism. Also, he's using our language to encourage tourism as well. Bemidji relying much of its funding on Ojibwe financial support and the tourism economy, so why not kill two birds with one stone eh Mr Meuers? Nicole Beaulieu and my mother being both language teachers have talked with other language instructors, and they have came to the conclusion Mr. Meuers' actions are very offensive due to the nature of his interests in exploiting our culture in a very racist city such as Bemidji. Yeah there's Ojibwe language in over 100 businesses in Bemidji, but there is not even a 100 Ojibwes working in those businesses. Where poverty and unemployment is rampant amongst the Ojibwe people that live there, I do not appreciate this irish man's perspectives and ideals victimizing my peoples interests here in Ojibwe country. I for one,' am not naive nor ignorant enough to be duped by this mans false bravado he uses to his financial gain, but I trust his overzealous greed will get the best of him and expose him for his true nature soon enough.

The Wrong Savage
Tolerating all these fake, internally oppressed, sit around the fort indians is very difficult some days. They're constantly trying to misrepresent all indians at large by making themselves available to our oppressors to allow them to romanticize us by their superficial, submissive, docile, domesticated, roll over mannerism. Constantly compromising the standards of our integrity to fit into the white man's ideals of being these civilized indians worthy of the over privileged, overindulgent white mans racist approval. These indians disgust me, they go out of their way to discredit the significance of the struggles we take up to defend our people and way of life, they treat the grounds of our plights like some sort of playground for them to frolic about in as those of us that are aware suffer constant turmoil and despair that they somehow find the nerve to disregarded and belittle. These indians are more of an obstacle to our struggle then those directly responsible for our oppression that encourages their behaviors, why? Because there so damn many of them polluting our community, if your confused by who I'm referring to when I speak of these treacherous people. Then let me put it in a little more of a simpler form for you to comprehend, I'm talking to you that looks at all our problems as a means to take advantage of whatever may be to your self centered favor. So if you look at me or the people I involve myself with as an opportunity for you to try and gain some status or try to manipulate our strengths to justify your selfish agendas, then your making a grave mistake by targeting this savage. I promise you that you will not appreciate the outcome of your foolish notion that I would allow you to take advantage of issues that are pertinent to the future of our people. You got your priorities pretty fucked up for allowing your stupidity to lead you down that road with me, you better turn your ass around and go stand amongst your white handlers trying to look down upon me and my people. I know when we refuse to let these indians even get close enough to try and take advantage of us, they become very resentful. Groveling at the white mans feet is no way to live, I don't care if your oblivious of your pathetic bullshit or not, that's not acceptable. I'm rather fed up with these people that act as if their unaware their making themselves our opposition by obliviously re-enforcing the systematic institutionalized racism they have cowardly assimilated themselves into. I'm sick of these blatantly ignorant, stupid ass indians trying to stand in our way of defeating our oppressors, sick of all these chicken shit cowards that try to advert their attention from the conflict that directly involves their interests as well. Then these cowards somehow find he nerve to try and complain about the oppression they either protect or condone by their ignorance or fear. Well I'll tell these cowardice, treacherous traitors of our people one thing, They don't have what it takes to try to stand in the way of this savage, so they better get their little pussy asses out of my way. I reserve no mercy for these cowards, they will not know any pity from this savage, so go ahead a cringe as you try to act as if your not aware your standing in my warpath. I promise you that you will know the wraith of the righteous if you insist on provoking justice upon your heads, you will come to know you have fucked with the wrong savage.

Gifts of Strength
There seems to be an abundance of educated ignorant people running round preventing any chance of constructive change from occurring within our communities. These individuals like to assume positions of power in order to take advantage of whatever it is that they might see as an opportunity to exploit matters to their benefit. They like to undermine anybody that threatens or challenges their pretentious ideals that routinely victimizes and neglects whomever is unfortunate to be involved in the matters of where their self centered interests lies. They invest their self centered energies in manipulating whomever is weak enough not to withstand their treachery, my elders tell me to pity these people. But these people invoke anger within me that I can not contain for they are directly interfering with the change I see needs to happen for my children to live happy productive lives. Why should I waste pity on these people that seek reward from our oppressors for their ability to assimilate themselves into the systematic institutionalized racism degrading the quality of life for my people and myself? These people pose just equally as a threat as those that hand down the oppression we are all forced to endure, these people make themselves guardians of the structural racism they have come to find comfort in. We need support from the right kind of people, with the right reasons that share the interests in the change we seek for the future of our people. Its very frustrating when those we stood up for refuse to validate or give recognition for our strength and courage to stand up to challenge our oppressors, it means the world to us when someone goes out of their way to provide us with their approval of what we're doing. It inspires the motivation we need to continue our struggle to find justice for those too emasculated to stand up for themselves, yet some of these emasculated people some how find the energy to criticize us for our ability to stand. We want to inspire strength, not envy to bring out the best in our people, we want to motivate them to at least try to see beyond the oppression that consumes so many of us. Most of us haven't had the opportunity to be desensitized by an over privileged lifestyle that disconnects these arrogant individuals from the disparities of their people. They take on our oppressors ignorance to justify their ineptness and inability to find solidarity for the struggles most of us endure, they to succumb to frustration as well and cease trying to find understanding with their people. Internalized oppression is ravaging our people and communities, we need to start speaking to the young one to inspire real change. They in turn might be the ones who get through to their parents that suffer trying to tolerate their internalized oppression, pain and suffering has been a way of life for our people for far too long. That glimmer of hope we think we see in our people gives us the strength to stand, because just maybe one day when we're charging into one of the many battles we take on, just maybe our people might be charging in as well. That is when we will all never allow ourselves to be defeated ever again. Our ancestors were fierce protectors of our ways that allowed us to care for our children, we need to be those warriors once again.

Confidential cowards with control issues.
As others try and claim their fame to the plights of our people, I take strength in knowing these shallow self-centered opportunists will falter in the face of anything of significance that confronts their weak wills. Our people have pushed back from the brink of extinction only to let these overrated, over privileged, over indulgent superficial individuals polluting our community squander the opportunities our ancestors struggled to gift us with. These people either exploit our struggles or undermined the critical aspects of the problems directly interfering with our ability to strive or even survive in today's world being Anishinaabe. These people demonize the strength of others out of jealousy or envy, these people talk behind backs in the company of other cowards because collectively they still lack the courage to express their childishly treacherous feelings to those they feel threatened by. These people let jealousy and envy become their best qualities, others that let jealousy control their lives admire these people that live their lives by the energy their jealousy generates for their hateful ways. These people are too arrogantly oblivious to notice the immaturity of their ignorance, they blame others for anything they can get away with in order to avoid taking accountability for their weaknesses they confuse and pride as strengths. Do these people deserve to be enlightened? Or do they deserve to wallow in the humility they constantly try to escape by being exposed by those of us that are keen to their corrupted ways? Because some times I think I was put on this earth for the sole purpose of confronting these false individuals that are making a sham of any and everything of importance they try to control through manipulation. Do not take my confidences as arrogance, for I myself can be very pitiful as well. I am reminded daily of my humility as equally as I am reminded of my strength and ability to be the Anishinaabe I was meant to be, and I am willing to admit that I can be a better Anishinaabe then I was that previous day every morning I wake up to put out my tobacco. But my relationship with my spirituality is a bit more advanced then these fools that delude themselves with selfish childish ignorant arrogance, they create this false persona of enlightenment in order to manipulate others into encouraging them to put their energy into their corrupted opinions and theories that are based on their self serving biases. Our children deserve for these people to snap out of their ignorant stupor, it is ALL our responsibility as Anishinaabeg to provide them with the opportunity to be the best Anishinaabe they can be. People need to quit trying to commercialize our struggles and brand them with their egos, being an Anishinaabe man, it is my responsibility to to hold those accountable openly refusing to live in accordance with the our teachings these people use to serve themselves instead of serving our people through them.

The Seventh Fire is Flickering
The flood gates of revolution are about to burst open, and as those stagnant docile caretakers and guardians of oppression become overwhelmed by the displeasure of the people, those of us that maintain our composer will reorganize the masses under a new old banner of renewed freedom and strength. We modern day warriors are trying to light the 8th fire, and as we go out to the elders to ask for their direction, their approval, we find most are too reluctant to offer their assistance. For our ancestors do not recognize some of them at all as well. Some of them or their parents have lost our ways to boarding schools, some have no wisdom to offer for they were not nurtured in the ways of our ancestors. Some of them have abandoned our ways to fulfill their selfish feelings of belonging to the white world, some have just failed to pick up that wisdom and are just as pitiful as an Anishinaabe as a young baby. Today most of our people are to shallow, superficial, too self-indulgent to be recognized by our ancestors and manidoog, most ceremonies are done in vein because our ancestors have abandoned us due to their constantly displeasure of what we have allowed ourselves to become. Too many false people pollute our lodges and are not being confronted on their lack of virtue preventing them from adhering to the significance of our teachings. They pervert our teachings to serve them instead of serving our people through the teachings, and they refuse to give up their selfish corrupted ways because they are scared of losing sight of who they think they are. The two roads of peace and the road of destruction have now been placed in front of us, we today have been warned we are pursuing the mass extinction that some of the tribes of our relatives have suffered. We have allowed ourselves to fall out of balance with nature in order to fulfill the white mans progress of greed that is rampantly consuming our ability to survive. We are no-longer the protectors of our mother earth as our ancestors once were, most of the yards of our people resemble landfills, their behaviors resemble those of the overindulgent white mans. we have lost our connection to our mother that gave us so much power to protect ourselves and way of life from those that do not respect the ways and nature of things that give us meaning. Most of us have abandoned that for conformity and assimilation, we have lost our ways. As we sit back chained to these IRA governments and their stiffing policies and watch the white man accelerate the extinction process of mankind, we are allowing ourselves to lose our reason to live. We are sacrificing our children to our greed and fear, we are letting them down everyday, we are failing to show them the strength of our ancestors, everything we are is diminishing. Conflict is inevitable. We must once again stand up and openly refuse these poisonous ways of living from destroying us all by finding ways to honor our mother earth before her discomfort forces her to consume us all, even our babies. The industrialized capitalist greed of those jeopardizing our ability to survive must be confronted and forced to be made aware their drunk of greed that is threatening to destroy us all. There are these 'green technologies' that will allow us to return to being in balance and attuned to the needs of our mother, they will help us recover from the greedy exploitation and abuse our earth has been forced to endure. All these money minded indians that glorify that dollar are just as much our enemies that threaten our survival as those greedy men around the planet putting us at risk. Their greed connects them all to the energy of this destruction that is now in front of us all. They condone and encourage us to go down that path, we all need to confront these men with intervention or force before they bring this destruction upon us all, the seventh fire is flickering.

Stuck on Stupid
Damn, guess some fools are just stuck on stupid, ignorance knows no age, but some of these supposed men/women just can't grow up. Who the hell do some of these little dummies think their fooling? Trying to use big words to veil the fact they're idiots. Their intelligence falls way far from their mark, some of these dummies should be focusing their energies on raising their kids. At least their kids are naive enough not to know that their parents barely have the common sense to dress themselves, but here we got these idiots trying to interject their obliviously obtuse opinion in on matters that demand more thought then they are either unable to conceive do to some intellectual boundary. Or they are just too ignorantly lazy to invest energy into coming to a realistic conclusion? Either way, I'm not going to dumb down and lower myself to their standards and force spoon feed them some common sense. This is chess nor checkers dummies, so as I smack their damn checker board upside down on the floor. Don't get mad at me because I reserve my patience for the mistake my children make, not grown ass idiots trying to waste my time trying to show me their ass. Anyways, these cowards ain't shit, won't be shit until they wisen up to recognize anything genuine when they can't even see past their own bullshit. That shit would be depressing to go around being that stupid, yeah I do feel sorry for these sucker ass fools, but come on. When these little dummies go around spewing bullshit, trying to dupe people that they're these enlightened intelligent individuals they obviously are not. Trying to make a fool of me as well trying to sell me on their bullshit. Shit pisses me off, because I don't have time for that shit. If they were about half the shit they talk about I wouldn't have a issue with these assholes Yeah, I'm a man of a lot of words but I know when to shut the hell up and get shit done. Maybe these little dummies are just jealous. I hate saying that shit, because I've been accused of being jealous by idiots that don't even deserve to say that word. I don't know anybody that has what I want that I don't have right in front of me right now, and their just mad and envious they haven't the ability I have to see through all the bullshit, including theirs.

The return of Zagaswediiwin (pipe council)
What is it going to take to get Ojibwes back into perspective? We all rely too much in the comfort of mainstream society that we've forgotten how to rely in our teachings to help us survive. Is it going to have to take a catastrophic event to stagger us back on track? Is it going to have to take some natural disaster to force us to acknowledge our instincts once again? We have allowed ourselves to be led a stray, we elect leaders that have no sense of direction and nobody intervenes. Nobody does an effective job of protesting the mistakes our people make by allowing these elected leaders to deceive us. They lead us with no honor or respect for the struggle and sacrifice of our ancestors. We have fallen into the habit of taking everything for granted just like our white oppressors. We have taken on their corrupted ideals that have been putting everything they touch at risk or turmoil since they began their invasion 500 years ago. They never defeated us Ojibwes, yet we are treated as if we own the white man our lives. The white man acts as if we allowed them to discretely make laws to imprison us to their oppression. They act as if we didn't force them to make treaties with us under our terms, now they want to act as if they do not need to honor these treaties that allow us to govern ourselves within our ceded territories. Northern Minnesota should be entirely under governance of Ojibwe people. After all, we did retain rights to the lands we opened up for the white man to settle upon. The Minnesota Chippewa Tribe should be able to train and provide our people with a popular army of volunteers to secure our resources and protect our people. We could call them the pillager units, named after the elite band of Ojibwes that led out the offense in most of our conflicts here in Minnesota. We need recognition within the United Nations, we need delegates to ensure that our interests are of equal concern as other nations across the world that the United States has made treaties with. The white men of Minnesota have forgotten how to appreciate their Ojibwe brothers, they imprisoned each and every one of our citizen to their systematic institutionalized racist society. We are constantly subjugated to their insensitive oppression, we are constantly neglected, mistreated, and abused in the name of the manifest destiny that our ancestors fought and prevented from rubbing out our way of life. This is Ojibwe country, not Norway, Sweden or Germany. When did our guests take it upon themselves to start making all the decisions around here? They are our guests, we taught them how to live here, we allowed them to live here. If they continued to keep trying to defeat the Ojibwe, I believe the Indian wars would have not ended the way it did. We are valiant cunning Warriors when pushed to conflict, every enemy we have ever had has come to know this first hand. This is why we must throw off the chains of this IRA government smothering our integrity, we must return to the pipe councils that bound our ancestors hearts together. We must revive our warrior society to protect our people and communities, we must follow leaders that are connected to the hearts of the people. We will return to these ways again someday, but first we must endure conflict once again. There is a civil war wagging in the hearts of our people, The mental warfare of the white man's "divide and conquer" scenario has been integrated into our communities. This is why we need our warriors, to stand up once again and protect what is so precious to us, our children. So we may renew our way of life within them, to give them the direction we have struggled so hard to hold on to before it vanishes.

The New People
As I take a good look around at the condition of my people, I can't help but to be overwhelmed by the feeling of alienation, for why can't I find comfort in ignorance and delusion? Why must I be haunted by the constant displeasure of our ancestors in what we have allowed ourselves to become? Is there others like me besides those few I have had the fortune of finding by the grace of some divine power? Or do our ancestors rejoice in the courage and strength we have found and developed to care for our people? This torment of being 'aware' is not what it is all cracked up to be. Should I feel ashamed for admiring others for their ability to find bliss within ignorance? I called this burden upon myself to be attuned to those that most of us have the ability to forsake and abandon. Why must I suffer through the criticism of the skeptics and naysayers polluting our community? Where has all the hope and strength gone that preserved our people up until us? Because I can't identify that strength in too many of us any more, defiantly not in any of our leaders. The strength of our ancestors has abandoned us to our own failure to adhere to the corruption we have assimilated ourselves into becoming. We have allowed ourselves to be perverted into these functional wretches drudging about as those that find comfort in our toil and suffrage dictate our every action. Our reservations have become misery factories, supplying society with the adequate amount of internalized oppression to justify ignorance in even the most consciously aware of minds. Patience wears as we rebel against each others compassion, and as we take out our frustrations upon one another, I keep my composure and struggle past every insignificant conflict consuming the energies of our people, because I have my eyes on the prize. The liberation from these chains tangling us to this oppression slowly consuming all those unfortunate enough to be born into this struggle known as being 'Anishinaabeg.' Being Anishinaabe comes with a great responsibility, their isn't many of us left compared to the world at large, and our world is getting smaller and smaller by the day, will we free the people from these poisonous ways of thinking before its too late? Or will we die trying? At least I will teach my children to be Anishinaabeg, and no, I don't mean snaring rabbits and ricing in birch bark canoes. I'm talking of honoring our teachings and applying them to everything we must endure and tolerate, to renew and revive our teachings to utilized them to be the most effective Anishinaabeg we can be in todays world. Why must so many sacrifice their integrity for progress and stability in the white world? There is ways of honoring and respecting the strength of our heritage and integrating it back into all the aspects of modern society, I know this because I do it every day. Most of us are abandoning the wrong things for the wrong reasons just to allow ourselves to constantly come up short as Anishinaabeg. We are disconnecting ourselves constantly with the virtues that give us strength to be Anishinaabeg, most of us don't even have the right to consider ourselves Anishinaabe anymore in my opinion. Dancing and singing at a pow wow for money doesn't make us anymore Indian then those manipulating the weak hearted through the lodge of our ancestors. Most people going through those lodges don't deserve to be considered "mide." For these people remain directionless, these people go through for status and grandeur, not to be attuned to our ancestors and manidous. I pursued initiation to the lodge just to find out its over-rated and a waste of time, don't get me wrong, there is a few genuine people trying to provide direction within those lodges, but they are greatly out numbered by those abusing its teachings. Many of our lodges have lost their energy do to the selfish greed of those tending and attending them, too many have lost sight of the miigis, so that is why I have chosen to become one of the new people that is still guided by the old voices. Not to desecrate the sanctity of our teachings, but to honor them in a more effective way that isn't hindered by the obsolete ideals of the ones preventing us from fulfilling our destinies in a good way as Anishinaabeg, we are not to be these shallow, superficial people giving way our significance to the thinking of the white man. We need to become the Anishinaabeg once again, the Anishinaabeg before the miigis and the migration and the lodge, we must come together to show the world how to honor and respect what was gifted to us before it is lost forever. First we must remember who we were before we had to become the people of the lodge. We must show those too scared to listen to their hearts that they must start thinking for themselves for the benefit of our people. We must all recover from those corrupted ways of thinking the church has poisoned our lodges with, because too many of those medicine men and women have become reminiscent to the priests and charlatans of those churches that stole our strength from our ancestors, taking advantage of those seeking direction. Those that are genuine are few and far between from those that use the lodge and its teachings to be corrupted as a tool for them to manipulate others, I know these things because I listen to my heart, and if anyone tells me my heart is wrong, they better be prepared to have differences with me. Having the courage to listen to our hearts is not easy to come by these days, yet we all have this gift to listen to our hearts, but there are those that find pleasure or material gain in manipulating others into not listening to their hearts, and these people who think they are powerful or of great stature are in reality; very pitiful. Anyone that doesn't allow you to adhere to your inner voice of your heart should not be a person to look to for direction, for they will only mislead you from your path and use you to their advantage. The lodge has its use, but now that use is leaving most of us, and that is in our prophecies as well, and those that claim their tending to the strength of our lodge for selfish reasons are the ones who are scared of losing the power they think that lodge has given then. They refuse to follow the miigis any longer and ignore our prophecies all together, and that will prevent us from ever lighting the 8th fire. Pleases don't take offense in what I have said, I don't claim to have all the answers, I only know what is good for me. I don't claim to be able to provide others with direction, but this is what my heart feels, we should all find the courage to listen to our hearts for direction once again. There is no gain in trying to over complicate matters by over-investing thought into things we know feels right within our hearts, I just know I will not waste my energy fighting what I know is right within my heart.

Get over yourselves
I believe everyone has the right to know how anyone's selfish immature behavior is going to benefit any community that they try to attach themselves or associate themselves with. Selfish qualities do not emanate any basis for anyone to genuinely consider themselves apart of a community. Do to no logical or reasonable fault of my own that I can acutely identify, for I am very critical of myself. I find it rather easy to take accountability for my actions or misconception that might endanger or cloud the clarity of my judgment. Yet I find it rather difficult to trust most people as of lately because of their obnoxious self serving childish behaviors, even for those I have been acquainted to for quite some time. It is even more disappointing when someone that you initially become acquainted with obviously has intentions on nurturing a relationship on the basis of their ability to manipulate ones trust and interests. Most times only to open up opportunities to take advantage of you, to fulfill their self-centered agenda, I know people tend to change as time goes on, but sometimes they are regressive in their manner of change so to allow them to adjust to their selfish tendencies and nature. often when these selfishly immature individuals like to believe their bettering their lives by changing a few negative habits, sometimes their only feeding into their narcissistic nature even further. They give themselves some false sense of importance, letting their arrogant greed run rampant and unchecked as they overindulge in the hospitality and generosity of others. Glutinously gorging themselves on everyone's resources or abilities that are too obtuse, unaware or too intimidated to deter their unsavory mannerism encroaching and deteriorating ones patience, allowing animosities to form. Some people are just sadly struck in a routine or habit of taking everything and everyone for granted, acting as if they are obligated to feel as if the world owes them everything. Even when there is no factual basis to back up these individuals attempt to exploit any matters available to them to their benefit, who also believe they are entitled to have access to whatever they believe they are free to take from others and abuse. As soon as one lets their guard down, some people are under the presumption that is their opportunity to take advantage of not only your compassion but also generosity, they take offense when those they wish to manipulate are keen to their selfish behavior, and they are refused the chance of taking advantage of this person. So they surround themselves with the company of others that share the distaste for this person that is acute to their selfish treachery and corrupted ideals. They act as if it is owed to them that their childish self centered behavior should be ignored and tolerated, but I personally haven't the patience for these cowards, at least not as of lately. So as these unimpressive cowardice individuals bask in the reflective glory of others on hopes of capturing some of that glory for themselves. Here's some advise, don't hold your breath, your over-inflated ego is going to pop one day when you least expect it, and you will plummet rather hard, and I will feel pity for you. I will try and help you get back on your feet, that's the least I could do, because I know how it is to fall hard and I do care for you as well, even if you are too corruptly selfish as of yet to care for me.

False representation Implemented by threatened racists
As we relentlessly attempt to appeal to our fellow American Indians and whoever else is willing to adhere to the blatant disenfranchisement victimizing our people. The corruption of the political parties misrepresenting and misappropriating our concerns by the abuse of power is also disturbing. These individuals within these parties have divisively implemented opportunists to discredit our attempts to bring forth justice for our people, attempting to make a sham of our struggle. Fortunately I have faith the roots of our unity within our community will not be divided by the treachery of those in power or those they exploit to veil their racist agendas. There is an unfair balance of power amongst the natives and whites; we shouldn’t tolerate any racist remarks or ideals devaluing our work ethics and our workers. Why are we being belittled and undermined for advocating of better living conditions for our people? Our economic plight exposes us and makes us vulnerable to criminal elements; crime can only be reduced by economic/educational opportunities and advancement. To empower programs that effectively train the emasculated masses that are constantly exposed to racism, there is a very unhealthy dangerous atmosphere within this community if you happen to be American Indian. As American Indians, we need to take control of our own economic and political future. We need real leadership from our people, not “token representation” which only opens up doors for justification of stereotypical ignorance that re-enforces systematic institutionalized racism. This isn’t about Nicole Beaulieu or Gregory Paquin, it’s about us having our turn to prosper. Warriors for Justice means pro-justice, pro-Indian, pro-us; it doesn’t mean we’re anti-anything. It is very unacceptable that there isn’t one American Indian sitting in any Legislative seat. If you can inherit wealth and opportunity off the exploitation of stolen lands and resources, or the mistreatment of our people, then you should also inherit the accountability of the injustices we endured and are still enduring to this day. We are not begging for the white man to fix what has been broken and forgotten, we are demanding the opportunity and resources to fix it ourselves, we’re being constantly denied even that. It is very disappointing when those we stand up for refuse to validate our struggle, in the ever so true words of Harriet Tubman, “I freed a thousand slaves, I could have freed a thousand more if only they knew they were slaves.”

Dumbing down
What's going on with all these fools exhausting themselves running in place? Can't these people see themselves for the fools they actually are? Or are they just that delusional? Yeah, they might have at one time or another been accused of being a bright individual, but I see a lot of people dimming and burning out as they waste their energy trying to impress others by trying to gain invaluable approval. What good is anyone's approval worth when they ain't as impressive as they'd like to appear to be? Some people don't deserve the respect they try to demand from others, what are they going to do with your brilliance? Plagiarize your ideas? To use you to feel some false sense of worth? I don't have anything to prove to anybody, especially if these pretentious out of touch individuals like to try and look down their noses at anyone. When people do that its pretty obvious they don't deserve the recognition they might have been receiving in order for them to regard themselves as some sort of authority on matters they attempt to obnoxiously pass their judgment upon. If your disappointed or impressed with anything I have to say then that belongs to you. If it gives you insight or motivation or solidarity or if it offends you and threatens your ignorant ideals then deal with that one your own, don't push your opinion of me or others that might appreciate or might not favor what I have to say. You just make yourself look like a asshole then, or maybe by expressing your distaste for me opens the doors for an unhealthy relationship nurtured upon the negativity you might share for me, and that in itself is pretty pathetic in anyone's with a respectable educated or open minded opinion. Also in the same regards its hard to appreciate someones arrogant pretentious perspective of issues they try and act as if they should be revered as some sort of inhumanly intelligent being. When these people share their supposed option, its pretty easy for anyone who has an acute educated insight to get a good idea to where exactly these people are referencing their information, trying to pass if off as their own opinion. Doesn't really matter what your opinion of me is, I'm not really impressed by most of you people anyways, most people I'm inspired by are no longer with us. Those of you that respect me as your equal, I thank you, and appreciate your acknowledgment of my voice, because I speak to find justice for my people. To inspire those I pity, to provoke those contributing to our discontentment, to realize we are not pleased. To help me to understand others that frustrate me so I can help or push them to be the person all of us needs them to be for our community. I would like to shake the hand and find understand with everyone who considers me their foe, I feel compelled to say the things I say because this is how the actions and the lack of enthusiasm of my fellow man make me feel. So I apologize first, and offend second if it is you that is the one I can identify as the culprit of my people's discontentment. If you refuse to take accountability for your treachery, then it is you that takes offense to my retort of your evil corrupt or shiftless lazy ideals threatening very fabric of our humanity. It is you that we can hold accountable for the constant disparities ravaging our households, for re-enforcing the stereotypes condemning our people to justify systematic institutionalized racism, Your insensitive ignorant arrogant selfish deluded pride that prevents you from seeing the harm you have cause amongst your family, amongst our community. I say these things to wake you all up before its too late, before you destroy everything I love, because if I stand by and just watch you keep putting our people at risk, then I'm just as guilty as you if I refuse to find the courage to try and at least stop you. Another thing is people ignorantly assume too much, can't they find the common decency to at least establish a rapport with me, or are they too intimidated that I might scrutinize their obvious ignorance. I'm well aware of most peoples stupidity as it is, what? You can't take a little constructive criticism? Is it going to harm you to hear the truth? Is it going to kill you to take accountability for your obvious corrupted ideals? Or do you understand my frustration with these people we allow to walk all over us and our community, well that's some coward ass b.s. but okay, your comfortable being oppressed, you like to believe you know equality because your fortunate enough to see past oppression most days, and you loose sight of the reality of the living conditions most our people can't get past. So you act as if you have the right to feel better then the oppression keeping your fellow man down, when it comes down to it, there isn't too much separating you from the struggle we endure everyday. Although you choose not to acknowledge it, the struggle is still there, even if you lost interest in the plight of your people to find equality, doesn't mean much to us that see you for the anishinaabe you ain't.

Strike a Nerve
I can't help but to notice by some of the comments I receive that the content of my blog is taken to offense by some. There are some people that more then likely identify with some of the negative aspects of our community that I have pointed out and share my opinion on, some don't appreciate being confronted or challenged of their ignorance or cowardice, These are just my opinions I share on the fact finding I constantly research in hopes to try and find a rapport and civil discourse to help people consider innovated solutions to the constant failure to resolve problems of our shared community. I leave my door open for suggestion, but I slam it shut on ignorant criticism or any thing that lacks courage. We can't afford to be frail or faltering when it comes to such tremendous problems we have stood up to, but people think I'm campaigning for support most times. I'm not, we're not politicians, we're not going to lie to you and tell you what you want to hear if your not willing to consider our conscious plea for all of you to wake up. To take an effective look at not only your faults but the faults of our fellow man, its time to hold each other accountable for the the failures our children are going to be forced to endure. I'm not going to give you any lip service, I don't want any ones support who isn't willing to be realistic about the problems of our community, what good is any ones support who isn't genuinely concerned of the issues we have effectively identified and have the courage to confront? This isn't about the support from the weak and unwilling, from the cowards and the traitors, of the self-centered opportunist and the greedy exploiters of our community. Nor from the racists or the internally oppressed, so if you can identify with any of these offensive words, then I don't believe anyone would benefit from your support at all if very little. At least not in any positive or productive way, you need to go re-evaluate your worth to your community if the things I have said have struck a nerve. I say these things to provoke people to be offended by their obvious shortcomings that we have identified that endanger our communities and our families. We have let these state, local and tribal politicians divide and conquer our communities for too long, so go ahead and hate for what I have the courage to say to those of you that act as if I haven't the ability to effectively identify you for who you actually are and who you are not. I can endure your misplaced hatred, your animosity, your ignorance, you act as if I haven't been all along, so go ahead and live as a coward, raise your children to be cowards and slaves of fear and oppression. I'm not going to sit besides you and advert my attention from the discontent of my fellow man that doesn't have the ability to stand, I'm going to give my children the means to have to chance to stand, I'm going to teach them to stand up for themselves when nobody else will, and if they encourage others to stand along side them and confront tyranny and oppression against them and their fellow man, then that alone will give me the fulfillment of pride I have longed for my entire life, because today its hard to take pride in the condition of my people and our community. I am proud of my ancestors but I can't find enough reason to find pride in who we are today as Anishinaabeg, yeah their are some that can ignore these disparities I speak of by by selfishly concentrating on their overrated meaningless lives, yet one day your all going to have to wake up and realize how you failed your community and family, hopefully that moment won't be the last breaths of your life. Hopefully you can go on in peace knowing you did stand up and do your best to provide your decedents a chance to be who our ancestors once were, we have knowingly chosen to not only dishonor them but our children as well by allowing ourselves to be influence not to care. So I say these things to also provoke you to stand up, because this is what we're suppose to be doing, its time we all stop denying ourselves the opportunity of honoring our ancestors, that is our birthright. So they may rejoice in us once again and allow prosperity to flow back into our hearts, into our families and our communities. My ancestors were warriors, so I'm going to honor them by protecting and fighting anyone foolish enough to try and jeopardize the future of our people by arrogantly standing in the way of the justice I am riding into battle upon. I guess I'll See you all in the battle field, hopefully you'll be standing beside me and not in front of me, because I will not show the enemies of our children any pity nor mercy. And this goes for those of you treacherous cowards pretending to by my ally as well. I'm sick and tired of all these self-centered egotistical traitors of our people taking advantage of the vulnerability of our community by trying to capture glory off our discomfort and disparities. These greedy opportunists like to hold meaningless events to distract our people from ever accomplishing anything constructive, they try to rob us of our energy and meaning by duping us to stand upon their wishy washy self serving agenda. Making a sham of any thing of significant importance to our well being as a Anishinaabeg. I also hope and pray these people are allowed the opportunity to sober up from their self-induced egotistical drunk so they can be of some actual use and value to themselves and our people, or is that too much to ask of these selfish individuals as of now, either way, I'm going to keep coming out swinging until I knock all these selfish arrogant delusional asshole on their asses. Just so you don't get confused, I wrote this when I was thinking of all you bitter fake phonies that waste your time and energy hating on me for what I have to say, I take pleasure in striking a nerve with those of you that deserve to feel offended by what I say. Why don't you focus your criticism and energy on matters that deserves all of our attention, I've exhausted my patience with all of you internally oppressed sit around the fort uncle tomahawk scouts. Real recognize real, so to all you genuine guerrillas out in the struggle everyday who support us, we ain't going to let you down, we're going to keep fighting until they kill us or until our oppressors realize we ain't going to take this shit anymore. All you skeptics can save your breath as well, if we listened to your cowardice rhetoric we'd never get anything accomplished for our people, go reason with our oppressors who have time for your kiss ass bullshit.

The Jim Oberstar Puppet show, Starring John Persell, Mary Olson, and the many faces of big business
I take it from whats being said in the media that the democrats of Northern Minnesota are going to be boning up John Persell on issues such as the state deficit to sway voters this upcoming November 2nd General Election. Mary Olson already has a knack for lip service. Its just kind of disappointing when our community can find solace in these individual's incompetence and inept ability to represent all the people of their districts. I'm always hearing of Persell's great accomplishments he provided our community such as in educational needs and natural resources, but from the cancerous power line, to the greedy pipeline, to the mining of the big bog, to the poor water quality of the Leech Lake Reservation, protection of our natural resources should not be accredited to this man. Any respectable environmentalist would be ashamed of this track record if they had to stand upon it, so now that he can't hide the fact he's failing as an environmentalist, hes attempting to distract the public by selling us on the empty promises hes going to save the state by balancing the budget from little ol' racist District 4. Does this man really think all of us are that stupid? Or is it Oberstar we should accredit for these foolish ideas, Mr. Persell is nothing but a puppet to ol' granddaddy Oberstar. Oberstar will exploit anything he can get his greedy old hands on, and turn around and act as if his greedy decision making is beneficial to you. Why should he care? He probably won't survive his next term, he has no interest in investing in the future of Minnesota. Oberstar is a man of a thousand faces, he'll tell you what you want to hear, then he'll turn around and tell the man with the most money the exact opposite, now he's prepping Mr. Persell and Ms. Olson to carry on his greedy campaign of the exploitation of any and everything that the district has to offer in the interests of big business. Do these people realize that us younger people see them selling our futures away right in front of us? All these insensitive out of touch ol' folk exposing us to their greedy agendas don't seem to really care about their grandchildren, sure they can claim they do, but when they go out and vote to put people like this into office. It's pretty obvious where these stubborn old people's interests lay, its incompetence they can hang their hats by. It's incompetence such as that that allows them to bring home the bacon. They might justify their blatant ignorance by saying, well so and so has the common sense and experience to keep things running smoothly, smoothly where though? Into the ground where its going along with them? Every time campaign season comes around these politicians act as if their just taking notice to the social and economic problems that they are directly responsible for neglecting in the first place. They tout around about as if they actually care and are going to solve these problems finally, as if they weren't aware of these issues when they first got elected as puppets. At the state convention I didn't see not a one of these politicians stand up and support Mark Dayton, now that Dayton has defeated these corrupt democratic politicians at their own game, now their starting to get in line to kiss his behind. Yet their are still some questionable democrats that appear as they would benefit more by supporting the republican party by standing firm on their stubborn notions that the good ol' common sense thats been driving Minnesota into the ground is the way to go. In my opinion, we young people should be very disappointed and upset by the shiftless out of touch decision making these old folks are exposing us to. It is us that is going to have to pay for their mistakes and poor decision making in the long run, we can't rely in the incompetence of these greedy old people trying to take all their riches to the grave with them. It's proven that most don't really care for our future, just look at whos in office in most instances, we look to our elders for guidance most times when it comes to things that are of great importance to us, but our elders are becoming more and more useless everyday, because most times they do not share our concerns, and thats sad. It's sad when we can't rely in their supposed wisdom when their too stubborn to adhere to their wisdom and knowledge themselves, a lot of older people pride themselves for being logical, and believe they should be praised for their apparent ability to make logical decisions, but one can justify many evils by ones perspective of logic, these unreasonably stubborn ignorant old fuddy duddies with their out of touch obsolete scared of change ideals should have the common decency to council the young people of what we see as importance to our futures, it is our future that they constantly endanger with their insensitive decision making, instead of prepping us to look at things from their out of touch point of view, they should utilize our optimism to innovate our declining relationships with government, constantly shunning us and ridiculing us that we are too inexperienced to manage important matter of our government is not only discouraging to find civil discourse, but it has created a feeling of animosities between the age groups, we should lower the voting age to 16, or would that be like me suggesting we set age restrictions such as ones that take away a seniors who we deem as 'senile' drivers license so they don't hop in their car and go out and carelessly jeopardize the safety of our communities with their deteriorated ability of judgment and coordination, we could justify a age restriction on voting rights as well by the same argument in some cases, and their are examples fatal decision making by our senior citizens to justify a law put in front of congress such as this, maybe I'm being a bit rash, but I'm sick of sitting by watching these politicians that are experienced in failing us continue to have control of the wheel, running us into the ditch or breaking us down because they don't know how to effectively maintenance our government or getting us lost most times. I'm not suggesting that all senior politicians abandon our government to the next generation, but its pretty obvious there is a dire need for new ideas that some of those that have been in power haven't the ability to conceive, a fresh perspective might just be the answer to a lot of our problems. Vote Nicole Beaulieu, Write-in Warriors for Justice candidate November 2nd, contemporary innovation, not the same old stagnant, corrupt, out of touch jobbery we're tired of.

Obnoxious Narsissism of Pretentious Charlatans and Elitists
I see a lot of Ojibs, self-proclaimed Ojibs, and non-Ojibs selfishly romanticizing our culture into a corny or corrupt insignificance which distracts others from the reality of our problems within our community. They try to transcend the culture of our community by exploiting their knowledge of our culture to serve their own self-centered agenda. I'm not deeming all of these romantic individuals invaluable or corrupt, but when some of them utilize or exploit our culture and teachings to obtain a self centered sense of gratification, it gets rather frustrating trying to educate and raise awareness amongst my people that are mesmerized by these individual's ability to influence and manipulate opinions of what is of actual importance or to what is critical or essential to our well being as a Ojibwe people and our communities. Dealing with the rigors of mainstream society is very difficult and complicated as it is while trying to maintain our identity. Yet I have noticed these individuals manipulating people by abusing their gifts of knowledge of our teachings and culture to sway ideals to carter to their own false sense of worth. These gifts are useless without the respect, honor and wisdom to use them properly. I can't help but to notice some status spiritual advisers taking advantage of vulnerable individuals and their underdeveloped spiritual beliefs or their fledgling relationship with their personal spirituality. I have endured attacks upon my own personal spirituality by some of these charlatans, so I have first hand accounts with my own experience with these misguided people that claim they can guide others. I personally am very offend by these individuals that try to intimidate or manipulate others into believing in their delusions of grander, their narcissism is very obnoxious. People shouldn't be so quick to rely in the supposed 'powers' of others when some are just creating a false bravado in order to take advantage of others vulnerability. I respect others for their ability to adhere to their humility, to those that pity me for being a mere human being, and to those that allow me to pity them as well for the same obvious reasons. Its very offensive when others try to interject their pretentious opinion of ones own personal relationship with their spirituality. Our own personal spirituality belongs to each of us individually, but to those that try to own our teachings and distribute them with discrimination or ignorance amongst our community, those teachings don't belong to you. They belong to all of us willing to utilize them appropriately with the respect they deserve, and for you to abuse them to fulfill your own lack of self esteem or sense of worth, that is very pathetic. If you can not take accountability for your own treachery and selfishness, I have faith you will find enlightenment through tribulation that you have evoked upon yourself by dishonoring our ancestors. But then again, maybe your not corrupt, maybe your just naive. Either way, you got a lot of growing up to do, so don't be trying to offer your assistance when you should be focusing on your own shortcomings preventing you from being the person that you think you are.

Liberating our hearts to honor our minds, together.
Wishy washy Shinobs, being swindled by the same ol' flim flam, pretty pathetic. Some shinobs attention spans somehow doesn't allow them the see past the deceit right in front of their faces, I can't believe some of these people that think that they deserve to lead others when their just getting lead around by the nose themselves, most times by their own greed or selfishness. So they allow themselves to be manipulated and endorse a popular idea that they see others gaining from through self gratification, as if anything they have to say on matters is any idea of their own. Regurgitating and plagiarizing what they can get their smug pretentious hands on to protect their self centered confirmation bias by following the methods of proven practitioners of these ideas they subscribe to, Personally I'm not impressed by these people that don't have the genuine ability or maybe the courage to have an original idea of their own, and neither should anyone else, this is not honorable, this is not leadership. Our ancestors used to think with their hearts, not with their heads, or greed, or selfishness. That is what kept us connected to the sensitivity of our fellow anishinaabeg, listening to our hearts. So we could come together with our fellow anishinaabeg to put our minds together to work to find solutions for our people. Today most of these arrogant masculine emasculated Indians with their white man credentials of indoctrination, go about our communities trying to push their 'educated' options on everyone. Running for office most times, as if their ideas are the only valid ideas that deserve anyone's attention. After a long year of going out to talk with our people campaigning against systematic institutionalized racism, internalized oppression, and those basing their diplomacy from these social down falls victimizing our people, I'd say its about 50% on both sides of our people that disregard essentials to who we were as anishinaabeg, as to those that honor our ancestors on how they conduct themselves. Half are material, half are spiritual, and some are even cunning enough to pretend to be spiritual to obtain material. Wealth to me, is wisdom and knowledge; wisdom to know when I'm right and when I'm wrong, the knowledge to help my people prosper, and survive, to reclaim our dignity, our integrity that we have today for the foremost lost do to the desensitization of mainstream ideals and media. Yes, our ancestors we're punished for what we are, but today some of us still punish ourselves trying to be something we're not. Our ancestors were aggressively progressive, all the while maintaining our identity, but I guess the question we should all be asking ourselves is if we live in an era of determination, or oppression? Because those have both belonged to our people, will you stand by and watch our ways be swept away in the mainstream? Or will you find the courage to go out there and hold on to them with all of your strength? Will you compromise and starve your integrity to almost nothing just to fit into the cage built for our ancestors? Or will you grow big and strong enough to break free from these old rusty obsolete cages? These ways of thinking are outdated my friend, and sometimes we must look back to look forward, but we can not hold on to the things that allowed us to be forced into these cages in the first place.
